Accumulator Charging/Testing:
The nitrogen precharge in the accumulators must be checked and adjusted periodically (e.g., every 1000-2000 service hours) using a nitrogen charging kit.
WARNING: Never use oxygen or compressed air to charge an accumulator. This can create an explosive hazard. Use dry, high-purity nitrogen gas only.
The precharge pressure must be set to the specification found in the 773G's service manual. Incorrect pressure leads to a harsh (too high) or soft/bottoming (too low) ride.
Hydraulic Hose Inspection: Inspect the hydraulic hoses connected to the cylinder for cracks, abrasions, and leaks. Replace them in pairs if they show signs of wear.
