Removal of the Old Bearing:
Remove the upper structure from the undercarriage using an appropriate lifting device (e.g., a large crane). The weight of the upper structure must be fully supported.
Unbolt and carefully remove the old slewing bearing.
Inspection of Components:
Inspect the mounting surfaces for flatness, cracks, or corrosion. Any damage must be repaired before proceeding.
Inspect the swing motor pinion gear for wear or damage. It is often recommended to replace the pinion gear when replacing the slewing bearing.
