 Lubrication (The Most Critical Task):

Frequency: Lubricate all pin joints daily or at the intervals specified in the Caterpillar 336D Operation & Maintenance Manual. In severe, high-dust, or wet conditions, lubricate more frequently—even during mid-shift breaks.

Procedure:
Wipe the grease fittings clean before attaching the grease gun.
Pump grease slowly and steadily into each fitting until you see a clean grease purge from the seals on both sides of the joint.
Wipe away any excess grease. This helps keep the area clean and allows for easier visual inspection.
