Post-Installation Checks, Calibration, and Testing:
* Visual Inspection: Conduct a final, thorough visual check. Verify no wires are pinched and all connectors are fully seated and their locking mechanisms engaged.
* Reconnect Batteries: Reconnect the negative battery cables.
* Power-Up: Turn the key switch to the ON position (do not start the engine). Observe the monitor for any immediate warning or error messages.
* Diagnostic Tool: Connect the Cat ET diagnostic tool. Check the Implement ECM for active or logged diagnostic codes. Clear any historical codes.
* Switch & Sensor Test: Use Cat ET's "monitor status" or "switch status" function to test every single switch, button, and thumbwheel on the console. Verify that Cat ET recognizes each input correctly when you activate it.
