Pre-Installation Inspection:
Core Integrity: Before installation, carefully inspect the aftercooler core for any physical damage to the fins, tubes, or tanks. Even minor damage can lead to leaks or reduced efficiency.
Cleanliness: Ensure the aftercooler is completely clean and free of any shipping debris, protective coatings, or foreign material inside the core tubes and on the external fins.
Gasket/Sealing Surfaces: Check the mating surfaces on the engine block or intake manifold and the aftercooler itself. They must be clean, smooth, and free of old gasket material or nicks.
