Pressure Cap and Hose Inspection
Pressure Cap: Test the radiator pressure cap annually. A weak cap lowers the boiling point, leading to overheating and coolant loss. A cap that holds too much pressure can stress hoses and the radiator itself.
Hoses: Squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses. They should be firm but not rock-hard (indicating excessive pressure) or soft/mushy (indicating internal breakdown). Look for any cracks, bulges, or signs of wear.
Addressing Problems Promptly
Overheating: If the engine temperature gauge rises, do not ignore it. Shut down the engine and investigate the cause. It could be a clogged radiator, faulty thermostat, broken fan belt, or failed water pump.
Leaks: Even a small leak can lead to air ingress and accelerated corrosion. Repair leaks immediately.
This 315-5407 radiator is used for 3054 3056 engine.
