Scheduled Lubrication (The Most Critical Task):

Frequency: Lubricate all pins daily or at the intervals specified in the Caterpillar 950GC Operation and Maintenance Manual. In severe, high-dust, or high-moisture conditions, lubricate more frequently—even multiple times per shift.

Procedure:
Wipe clean all grease fittings (zerk fittings) before attaching the grease gun to prevent injecting dirt.
Pump grease into each fitting until you see clean grease purging from the seals around the pin.
Wipe away the excess grease. This extruded grease carries away abrasive wear particles and moisture.
