Standard Installation Procedure:
Removal of the Old Bushing:
Use a hydraulic press and a suitable-sized driver or pusher to press the old bushing out.
Never use a torch to burn out a bushing, as the extreme heat will damage the housing's parent material, compromise its heat treatment, and cause the new bushing to fit improperly.
Thorough Cleaning and Inspection:
Clean the housing bore meticulously. Remove all dirt, rust, burrs, and old paint.
Inspect the housing bore for any scoring, cracks, or out-of-round conditions. A damaged bore will not provide a proper press-fit.
This 462-2008 bushing is used for 330 330GC 336 336GC 340 333 excavator.
