Daily Checks (Pre-Start Inspection)
Visual Inspection: Look for any signs of external oil leaks from the cylinder rod, at the gland (head), or around the base (cap end). Even a small leak can indicate a failing seal.
Rod Surface Inspection: Check the chrome-plated piston rod for nicks, scratches, gouges, or corrosion. Any damage to the hard chrome surface will quickly destroy the rod seals once the cylinder retracts, leading to internal leaks and contamination.
Check for Damage: Look for dents or damage to the cylinder barrel itself.
Mounting Bolts: Ensure the mounting pins are properly secured with grease and that the mounting bosses are not cracked or loose.
