Grease Fittings (Zerks): This is the most crucial and frequent task.
Frequency: Grease the boom cylinder pin connections every 10 hours (or as per your machine's specific manual based on working conditions). In extremely dirty or wet conditions, greasing daily is recommended.
Procedure: Apply high-quality, multi-purpose lithium-based grease until clean grease is purged from the seals on both sides of the connection. This purges out abrasive dirt and moisture, preventing wear on the pin and bushing, which can cause misalignment and strain on the cylinder.
This 204-4916 boom cylinder is used for 385C excavator.
