Unpack the new genuine Caterpillar harness and compare it side-by-side with the old one. Ensure the length, connector types, and number of branches are identical.
Routing the Harness:
Follow the Exact Path: Route the new harness along the exact same path as the old one. Avoid sharp bends, and ensure the harness is clear of hot surfaces (like the exhaust manifold), sharp edges, and moving parts.
Do Not Force: The harness should fit naturally without being stretched or pinched.
