ECM Safeguard: The ECM is the most expensive component in the engine management system. A substandard harness with poor insulation or incorrect resistance can cause voltage spikes or short circuits that can backfeed into the ECM, potentially destroying its injector driver circuits—a repair costing many times more than the price of a genuine harness.
Injector Protection: A perfect connector fit with a positive seal prevents arcing and high electrical resistance at the injector solenoid terminals. Poor connections generate excessive heat, which can carbonize and damage both the harness plug and the injector solenoid, leading to a much more expensive injector replacement.
