Visual Inspection: Double-check that every connection is secure and the harness is routed correctly and clear of all moving parts.
* Reconnect Batteries: Reconnect the negative battery cables.
* Power-Up: Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine). Check for any warning codes on the dashboard.
* Diagnostic Tool: Connect Cat ET. Check for active or logged diagnostic codes related to the implement system, switches, or sensors. Clear any old codes.
* Function Test: Test every single function controlled by the console:
* Test each joystick movement and verify the response on Cat ET (you can see the commanded position percentages).
* Test every push button and switch.
* Test thumbwheel operation.
