Bucket Curl (Retraction): To curl the bucket back (for digging or holding a load), the operator pulls the tilt control lever. The hydraulic valve directs high-pressure oil to the rod end of the cylinder. This pulls the rod inward. Because the rod is connected to a complex linkage, this relatively short stroke is translated into a powerful rotational force that rolls the bucket backward towards the machine.
Hold Position: In neutral, the control valve blocks oil flow. Pilot-operated check valves (POCVs) in the circuit (located near the cylinder) lock the oil in place, hydraulically locking the bucket in its current position. This prevents unintended movement.
Bucket Dump (Extension): To dump the load, the operator pushes the lever forward. The valve shifts, sending high-pressure oil to the cap end of the cylinder. This pushes the rod out. The mechanical linkage reverses the motion, forcing the bucket to rotate forward rapidly and eject its contents.
This 202-3045 tilt cylinder is used for R1600 load haul dump.
