Heat Rejection: The core function is to dissipate the immense heat generated by the truck's high-horsepower diesel engine. It cools the engine coolant that has circulated through the engine block, absorbing heat from the cylinders and other components.
Temperature Regulation: By continuously cooling the engine coolant, the radiator plays a direct role in keeping the engine within its ideal operating temperature range. This prevents both overheating and operation that is too cool (which is inefficient).
