Engine Coolant Core: This is the main radiator section. It cools the high-temperature antifreeze/coolant mixture that circulates through the engine block and cylinder head, absorbing heat from combustion.
Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Core (Aftercooler): The D10R is a turbocharged engine. The turbo compressor heats the intake air significantly. The CAC core cools this compressed air after it leaves the turbocharger but before it enters the engine cylinders. Cooler intake air is denser, containing more oxygen, which allows for more efficient combustion, increased power output, and reduced emissions.
