Cleaning Execution:
Preferred Method - Compressed Air:
Use low-pressure air (below 205 kPa / 30 psi). High pressure will damage the delicate fins.
Crucial: Always blow air in the opposite direction of normal airflow. Normal airflow is from the outside, through the cores, and into the fan. Therefore, you must blow air from the fan side (engine side) out towards the rear of the machine.
Thoroughly clean the fins of the Charge Air Cooler (front), the Engine Radiator (middle), and the Hydraulic Oil Cooler (back).
Alternative Method - Water (Use with Extreme Caution):
Use a pressure washer with a wide-angle tip on a low-pressure setting.
Maintain a minimum distance of 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) from the core.
Spray water from the engine side outward.
Allow the core to air dry completely before closing the compartment.
