A clogged radiator is the primary cause of overheating on a 320D.
Frequency: Clean as often as needed based on working conditions. In dusty or chaff-heavy environments, this may be required multiple times per day.
Steps for Cleaning:
Safety First: Park the machine on a level surface. Lower the attachment to the ground. Stop the engine. Engage the safety lock lever. Place "DO NOT OPERATE" tags in the cab and on the key switch.
Open the Compartment: Unlatch and carefully swing the rear grille (screen) open.
Access the Core: The radiator, charge air cooler, and hydraulic oil cooler are bundled together. On the 320C, this entire bundle is hinged. Release the locking latches at the top.
Swing Up the Bundle: Carefully swing the entire cooler core assembly upward and secure it with the provided support rod. This provides full access to the front and back of all coolers.
