Sealed and Lubricated Track (SALT/XL): Many modern 329D undercarriages feature Sealed and Lubricated Track.
In this system, the pin and bushing are a matched, sealed unit with a reservoir of grease between them.
This design significantly reduces internal wear by allowing the pin to rotate within the bushing with lubrication, instead of the two being a dry, press-fit "friction" joint.
