Carburized Steel:
Process: This steel undergoes a case-hardening process. The outer surface (or "case") is infused with carbon and then hardened to a very high level, while the inner core remains softer and ductile.
Properties:
Hard Exterior: The hard case (up to HRC 60+) provides superior wear resistance.
Tough Interior: The soft, ductile core makes the bushing exceptionally resistant to shock and impact, preventing catastrophic failure.
This 7Y-3590 bushing is used for 385C excavator.
