Safe Preparation:
Park the machine on level, solid ground. Lower the work equipment completely to the ground to relieve hydraulic pressure and stabilize the machine.
Follow Lockout-Tagout procedures to prevent accidental activation.
Removal of Old Components:
Remove the retaining clips or bolts securing the pin.
Using the hydraulic press and a correctly sized mandrel, press the pin out. Note the direction of removal; some pins have a specific orientation.
Inspect the old pin for wear, scoring, or "necking."
Use the press and a bushing driver tool (slightly smaller than the bushing OD) to press the old bushing out. Support the linkage ear properly to avoid bending it.
This 609-3781 bushing is used for 374 excavator.
