Countering Circle Drift: Under heavy load, tremendous forces can cause the circle to rotate slightly within its gear train. The centershift cylinder can be used to apply pressure to counteract this movement and "lock" the circle in a specific position, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring grading accuracy.
Optional "Power Down" Function: On some configurations, this cylinder can be used to hydraulically "power down" the circle, applying a downward force to help keep the circle teeth fully engaged with the drive mechanism, preventing chatter and skip under extreme load.
