Lowering the Blade (Extending the Cylinder Rod):
The operator moves the control lever in the opposite direction.
The control valve directs high-pressure oil to the head end port.
Oil from the rod end is directed back to the tank.
The pressure on the larger surface area of the piston head forces the piston and rod to extend. The weight of the moldboard assists in this process. This action pushes the circle down, lowering the blade.
