Common Failure Signs and Corrective Actions
Rod Seal Leakage: If hydraulic fluid is visibly leaking from the rod seal, the seal kit must be replaced immediately. Operating with a leaking seal allows contaminants to enter, causing extensive internal damage.
Cylinder Drift: If the bucket slowly uncurls under load (drift), it indicates worn piston seals or internal leakage. This requires a cylinder rebuild to replace the internal seal kit.
Scored or Damaged Rod: A damaged rod must be repaired or replaced. Running a damaged rod will quickly destroy new seals.
