Hydraulic Pressure Input: The machine's main hydraulic pump generates high-pressure oil. This oil is directed to the barrel end (piston side) or rod end of the bucket cylinder by the operator's commands via the hydraulic control valve.
Cylinder Extension (Curl / Digging):
To curl the bucket into the bank for digging, high-pressure oil is sent to the barrel end (piston side) of the cylinder.
The pressure acts on the large surface area of the piston, creating an immense linear force that pushes the piston rod outward.
As the rod extends, it pushes against the bucket linkage, forcing the bucket to rotate towards the machine, penetrating the material and filling the bucket.
